Divorcing in France?

Let’s find calm, clarity, and your next step.

Divorce is tough for almost everyone, but when you have to deal with unfamiliar systems, foreign customs, and mountains of French paperwork?

Well. That’s something else.

As a 20+ year American resident of Paris, I’m aware of the challenges that life here brings for foreigners on a day-to-day basis, much less when facing a life-rattling event such as divorce. Even if you’ve lived here a very long time, divorce can suddenly make you feel as if you’ve just arrived.

Whether you’re from the U.S., the UK or elsewhere, the French divorce process likely has significant differences from in your home country, some procedural, some cultural.

These differences can make you feel more confused than ever.

You may receive advice from well-meaning friends or family back home that simply doesn’t apply here. You might feel frustrated or utterly baffled by how certain French procedures and laws work. You might struggle communicating with your lawyer–not for linguistic reasons, but because of differences in cultural perspectives.

I’m here to coach and support you through the reality of divorcing in France, help you confront your fears and uncertainties, and examine your options and next steps through the particular lens of a non-native.

Contact me for a free 30-minute introductory session, whether you're still deciding or knee-deep in the process. You don’t have to figure this out alone.

And don’t forget to signup for my monthly newsletter, which discusses issues pertaining to divorce in France (among other divorce tips and recommendations) in every issue.
