What’s a Divorce Coach?

The  American Bar Association lists divorce coaching as a form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), defining it as “a flexible, goal-oriented process designed to support, motivate, and guide people going through divorce to help them make the best possible decisions for the future, based on their interests, needs and concerns.”

As a DCA certified ADR divorce coach, that’s exactly what I do.

But I want more than that for you.

I want to help you reach the other side of your divorce journey in the healthiest condition possible–emotionally, mentally, and financially–so that when you step into your new life, you’ll be ready to thrive.

Let's talk

The Benefits of Coaching

EVERY DIVORCE IS UNIQUE

The approach that worked for your best friend, neighbor, or colleague isn’t necessarily going to be right for you.

One of the greatest benefits of my coaching process is that it’s designed to help you reflect on and pinpoint your needs, goals, values, and priorities.

When you understand what you want, why you want it, and how it furthers your long-term goals, you can make balanced, intentional decisions that feel deeply right and bring you peace.

Divorce Coaching Also Helps You…

Save Time

Reduce the time you spend agonizing over the same issues over and over. Coaching allows you to examine your options from all angles, develop clear goals, and a strategic plan that help you make confident decisions driven by facts and good information, not emotion.

Save Money

Legal fees add up quickly, especially when the process drags on or becomes combative. Coaching can help keep conversations with your lawyer focused, efficient, and cost-effective. It can also help you avoid escalating conflict with your ex, shortening the legal process and making it less expensive.

 Shrink Your Fears

Fear is often one of the most dominant emotions in the divorce process. Fear of loss, fear of change, fear of lack, and fear of an uncertain future. Coaching can help you tackle your divorce-related fears one step at a time, enabling you to understand your own power and envision a brighter future.

Gain Peace

You know yourself and your situation better than anyone. Coaching helps you tune out all the distracting chatter around divorce and tune into yourself. When you really listen to yourself and balance your values, needs, and desires, you can make good decisions that lay a strong foundation for your next chapter.
